The engineer Klaus Johannsen works for a Hi-Tech Company in Los Angeles. He is instrumental to get for his company an upgrade job for an Indian satellite earth station, which is located in Gujarat and which is designated to be the official uplink station for the Satellite Indian TV Experiment (SiTE). This experiment shall bring Television to India's rural population for the purpose of education and entertainment. During the following 3 years, while the job slowly progresses, Klaus has the chance to explore North-Western India, Gujarat, Rajasten, and Mahrashtra.

At the same time he gets acquainted with Indian religions and philosophies of life. He has to deal with primitive surroundings, but he also gets to know the most beautiful artistic marvel works back 1000 to 2000 years. He witnesses the awakening of the Indian High Tech industry, which is nowadays one of the best in the world. When he finished his job he thought that India is holy earth.
